Energy Savings

A Well-Connect will provide you many benefits and all of these are paid for by the energy savings generated by a Well-Connect.

You don’t need a penny to take advantage of this. In fact, you’re probably already paying more for propane or fuel oil each year than you would pay for heating with a Well-Connect and 100% financing the system.

So How Much Does a Well-Connect Cost?

The installed cost of a Well-Connect will depend on a variety of factors - however in most cases, an installed Well-Connect will cost between $6,000 and $8,000 for a DIY install and between $9,000 and $11,000 for a professional install (after factoring in tax credits and rebates which vary by region). Most homeowners 100% finance the system for less than $100 per month - and with typical heating cost savings of over $100 per month, the system pays for itself! In most cases, homeowners are spending more to heat their home than what they would spend financing a Well-Connect system.

What Financial Incentives are available?

The Federal Government offers a tax incentive for HVAC equipment that uses renewable energy, including geothermal heat pumps. This means you receive money back (or receive a credit against your tax bill) for investing in a Well-Connect for your home. For systems installed in the calendar year 2022, the credit is 26%. In 2023, it drops to 22% then to 0% after 2023.

There are often rebates available from electric utilities and/or state based programs that range from $1,000 to over $2,000. In addition, many electric utilities have lower electric rates for geothermal heat pumps – this further reduces your heating and cooling costs.
